If I would have known what I know now, I would have done this years ago...feel free to read my story on my profile (it's a lot to type here)...I am getting ready to hit a year post-op from RNY and I could not have asked for anything more!!! If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask either on here (people are really friendly and helpful) or PM me....Good Luck Julie! Leslie

Hi Julie, You are definitely doing the right thing by asking about others experiences. Everyone walks this journey a bit differently than the next person, but generally we all experience the same things, to one degree or another. Short answer to your question...YES, a resounding 100% YES, I am happy with my decision to have surgery. The results have exceeded my expectations. (I think that a part of me didn't believe my life would change this much or that I would actually succeed!) It has not been smooth sailing. I had a couple of minor (although at the time they felt more major) issues in the beginning. I felt like crap for about 3 months, with no energy and a very sensitive pouch. However, by 3 months out things started to get better and I am totally happy with my surgery. You can read more of my story in my profile (organized from present day to the past) but I am happy to answer any questions you might have if you want to PM me.
By the way, I have lost 113 lbs, have maintained that for nearly 4 months and will be having a Lower Body Lift done on Aug 14th. Life is so wonderful now, I wouldn't change a thing. Hugs, Robin
